Just a few days ago had a thought that we stopped being surprised by Ukraine like with the drowning of Moskva or taking the Snail lsland or bombing the Crimea bridge. That the war has become predictable. And then Ukraine says: hold my beer.

TBF the 2 big counteroffensives - one to repel Russia from the area in the North and the other that pushed them out of Kherson and area were better IMO

It is safe to assume there is a lot of checking of trucks all over Russia going on right now. Big country to keep track of every truck on the move.

Ukraine has dramatically proved the concept. Maybe such an attacks cannot now easily be replicated by again utilizing large trucks? That method may be "one time only". However, the Ukrainians are ingenious, and they will devise alternative, quite surprising, ways of delivering remote drone hits.

Problem is: While the Russian FSB is a vast security apparatus with many agents, most of the FSB assets and resources are deployed in service of keeping tabs on Russia's own Civilian population!
Most of those Airbases are located in the middle of nowhere. Russia is too vast to protect everything.

Your point about supporting and arming Ukraine for a long range sabotage campaign has been on my mind for some time as potentially the most effective use of resources to bring Russia down.

We should plow everything into this as they cannot defend all their railways, electricity and energy systems.
