Agree wholeheartedly. SHIMMER-sized hole in the market and my heart. I suppose the exact demand and resources aren't in line yet otherwise such a promotion would literally already exist, but I think it's viable. If MLP is viable, a US-based womens superindy sure could be
I think Texas cause their is no athletic commissions makes it easier to have that. Izzy probably wouldn't have been able to wrestle anywhere in the tri state area. Jordynne Grace started wrestling I think she said at 14. Otherwise there arent enough women & you wind up with intergender matches.
I would like to see a woman based promotion ran by women. Dudes could be there too. But focus on the ladies for the main events and stories. Have dude managers or occasional wrestlers. Backstage interviews. Just flip it all. See how it works. And pack in the best women in the world not signed.
A like and appreciative comment for using "fewer" instead of "less".
The most respectful booker experience I had was under a female promoter. Very "big picture" about show layouts and how the fans would connect on a more emotional level as opposed to spectacle.
Would love to see her having a huge role in AEW, especially with the women's division. Or honestly, having her as overall head of creative in ROH would be awesome.
I’d love a weekly AEW/ROH women’s wrestling show on TV. Maybe an hour or two. Gail Kim booking. Veda Scott and Renee Paquette on commentary. Tag belts introduced. Factions, tournaments, exciting debuts, stories, a women’s only PPV. Keep women on the other shows but give them their own space too.
yess! it's why my heart hurts for the destruction of the indy scene. it hurts everyone gail would be an asset to any company! i hope scott reaches out :(
