why are out standards so low that we accept as normal that we have to do a search ?
for the last 3,000 years or so of western civilization, it has been the duty of the author to support his or her arguments with facts
suddenly, it is now the reader's job to find facts to support the argument
no, I will not obey in advance
Don't we have like a gigazillon more apps, websites and softwares than in 2000 ?
but I did see a thread recently that sounded ok, guy said, 20 years ago, it took a staff of 100s to start FB or Twitter, but the tech has gotten so good BS could get up and running with 13 people !
but I don't know about this stuff
:)
Getting to an 'ai' that's smarter than is an insurmountably big if When hallucinations are built in.
I do not claim this proves you wrong, just that I don't have much reason to think you are right.
And absolute numbers rather than percentage changes would be good too
It doesn't suddenly mean you're better off studying art history.
I want to know the actual number of jobs.

The “developers” who say this are often PHP or React devs, who aren’t fit to lace the boots of the actual devs who build our telecoms systems, who work at Nvidia or Apple, or in Wall St.
Huge amount of Dunning Kruger going on.
“Nearly all” - the best developers - “did not study computer science” ?
I currently work in a big tech company, we have mediocre devs in the company, we have outstanding ones. It is obvious to all who are the great developers.
Most of them have computer science backgrounds.
They always need training in how to write nice code, but that's easier than training someone who can already do that to solve problems.
I was too dismissive and I don’t think I picked the nuance in what you were saying.
There is a load of people on the internet saying uni education is pointless for developers. I find that misguided.
More of this behaviour for us all, please!
