There are often violets and bluebells and so on underneath the bracken - the trick I think is to shade the bracken with a scattering of trees to allow these plants to thrive.

Just 5 years ago, this was an artificial sea of bracken fern. Now it's a self-seeded young native rainforest, already complete with bluebells, celandine, violet, and other wildflowers + ferns.

Removing sheep grazing was enough for all this to happen.
