Yes it's an excellent slice of life movie and period piece. The horror is pretty self contained to one section of the movie

Yes. I do not like horror either, but there is a lot of cinematic richness, culture, and historical observance as well.

I only watch horror films for reasons other than the horrors, i.e. The VVitch set and costumes were historically accurate, Midsommar was badass. Sinners had a few intense scenes, but I would say that if you can watch war movies like All Quiet on the Western Front, you can definitely handle Sinners
