The increase in autism diagnoses doesn’t mean more people are suddenly autistic it means we got better at recognizing it. It’s not that hard a concept to understand.

No, they know what they're doing. They just don't value the things we do, like life, freedom, or basic human rights. So when they use basic reasoning, they come to different conclusions.
That line of thinking is brought to us by the same folks who thought that the best way to bring Covid cases down was to stop testing. Fools in high places.
You're a quite bit younger than me, but looking back on people you knew from back in the day, it's like oh yeah they were neuro-divergent, it's just nobody knew what to call it... they were just different (different is good!)
