Finished watching #Andor. It's a top-tier masterpiece.
As far as I can tell, every other Star War is made for 12-year-olds. If you like that: fine, but I'm 55, and Andor is made for people like me. It's thrilling, adult storytelling of the highest calibre. Bravo.

But Andor is quite clearly targeted at people who were 12 when Star Wars came out ... ie 55 now.
"Kids SW" is great, and I enjoy Phantom Menace through Return of the Jedi a great deal.
"Adult Star Wars" has a place and an audience. In all the ways Acolyte and Obi-Wan failed, Andor has succeeded.
Found the first series really slow and just couldn't get into it. Maybe I bailed out too early and this is the Star Wars series I'm looking for?*
*Although I really enjoyed The Mandalorian
Definitely going to rewatch it as people I know have been raving about it and they're the type who never praise anything on TV.
Nearest they get to high praise was calling The Wire 'decent cop telly'.
S2 uses the same structure except a year passes between each arc.
also the first dvd i ever owned!
my dad said the exact same thing about 1-3, then 9-12 he said couldn’t sleep bc it was so good
the “fast” episodes in season 2 are so crazy that it’s actually nice to go back and rewatch the wedding plot just to relax lol.
Even on my second watch not a single second felt boring to me. Yet, it's very slow paced compared to "regular" Star Wars content, but every scene oozes with a grim, heavy and tight atmosphere. The characters and their
Yet it also gave us one of the most colorful scenes: "The Eye" is easily
My favorite movie of the franchise has always been "The Empire strikes back". But my second favorite has been "Rogue One" since the day I saw it in cinema. And yes, I consider "Andor" to be even better.
They did that handover very well.
Still don't like Rogue One, but Andor is prime material.
“one way out” *might* still be the best episode it ever did but holy shit does it have competition from S2. Dedra’s arc is so good
Absolute genius.
You need to rewatch Star Wars.
We find it amusing, in Andor, they throw in the occasional alien to remind the audience it is set in the Star Wars universe, and not some futuristic spy thriller.
Nice to talk to someone who was 18 (me, 17….i was young for the class of 77)at the time of the release of A New Hope
Second series sounds decent 😀
I remember Man of Steel.
It's not about the maturity, it's about the quality.
The ending especially feels so underdeveloped because you barely know the characters. Now it's like oh nooooooo. 😭
