To be fair, Inskeep did a quick hit on why they were covering Biden’s health. Saying that Presidents are newsworthy even after leaving office and comparing it to a new book about John Adams that they would also cover.

But,,,,,is it really the *top* story of the day? I don’t believe so.

I've said it a few times now. NPR started running right after the James O'Keefe "sting" of their former chief fundraiser around 2011. We stuck with them for a few years but stopped our donations in year 1 or 2 of Trump's 1st term b/c they couldn't bring themselves to use the word "lie(s)" just +

every possible euphemism for "lie". It took Inskeep's Morning Edition over 3 years to say the word even when as the administration was lying about easily verifiable facts.
I mean, we were monthly supporters. Even donated a car.

I think that NPR’s brand—Reasonable people discussing the issues of the day at a reasonable volume, is a complete mismatch for our current environment.

I have listened to hosts interview Trump officials, even Trump himself. And without exception they get flattened like dulcet toned pancakes.

And it’s a damned shame, because I think NPR’s mission is extremely valuable. They are simply not equipped to deal with the depth an volume of lies.
