I went to the earthquake museum in Taiwan, and saw a huge fault that ran across running track…kept trying to envision how that happened. Now I know.
This was a 7.7 Mw quake near Thazi in Myanmar on 28 March 2025. The fault rupture was strike-slip at a depth of 10 km, likely along a N-striking fault.

the whole place just moved without much resistance..
Also the fucking power tower!
still picking my jaw up off the ground
I've seen a park along the San Andreas Fault where an old wooden fence is no longer aligned due to slip like in this video.
On the balance of evidence, this seems legit until and if contrary information arises (which is why I chose to post it in the first place).
A human holding a camera would probably have fallen
Ground decides to become a moving sidewalk for a few seconds. YIKES
Amazing though.
If you mean whether maps will have to be redrawn, probably not—this rupture was "only" a few metres.
Sumbody need to put a lock on that gate so no more earthquakes get through it!
Shakin' us up, they is!
