Thinking of my dad today, whom this terrible disease eventually took.
My thoughts also to those presently fighting it, to those who have beaten it and those brilliant people who are making huge advances in our efforts to understand and eradicate it.
I salute you all. π

I love that photo of you and your dad, it's really beautiful.
Much love everyone affected by cancer, and it affects so many, the ripples are so wide π
What a lovely photo of you and your dad. He looks like he has a twinkle in his eye π₯°
I donβt claim I fought it tbh. The mindfulness I used was imagining I was cycling up a massive hill & wasnβt getting off until Iβd reached the top.
Iβm a stubborn bastard & maybe this helped.
My dad had Parkinsonβs too. x
Diagnosed in Feb/24 and has been cancer free since August/24
I give thanks and love to the dedicated doctors who saved what they could of both kidneys.
Thank you Alberta for having the best!β€οΈ

Every single member of staff that we dealt with / are dealing with has been fantastic, we cant praise them highly enough.

All my love. x
Sending hugs xx
We lost Dad back from the big C in 1988 when he was only 58 - I still miss his wisdom and the heated political debates resolved with a trip to the pub π I'm crying as I'm writing this β€οΈ

On #WorldCancerDay Iβm thinking of my mother who is a survivor of the disease and who as my GP diagnosed mine early
We live from one 4 monthly PSA blood result, to the next Reece - living in limbo.
He had May β24 diagnosis Stage 4 inoperable Prostate Cancer with multiple bony secondary metastases.
No surgery/chemo options - daily med and monthly implant treatment keeping him alive.

Whilst he keeps on, keeping on, so do we!
Much love x
My mum in Dec 1992.
