I can't get my head around it, then you watch Trump, etc.
My better half, and I watch a lot of US real-life murder programmes.
There's religion involved in most of them, whether it's on the victims side or the murderers.

It’s still a huge thing for my mum, not for me anymore, no more than any other bank holiday anyway! It always confused me as a child as to why it wasn’t bigger than Christmas… now I’m thankful it isn’t!

For my mum Easter was more important than Christmas. In her memory I’ve made Easter biscuits, and used her sugar shaker - she was never happier than when she was baking. Wishing you a peaceful day.

I miss my ma and dadder as well, Reece. Nominally, they were The Church of God, but they never forced it on me or my other 6 sibs. I believe there's some sort of "higher deity" out there, but I REFUSE to hate and be intolerant in ANYONE'S name. Happy Sunday, mate! 😁

My parents, now long dead sadly, were Christians but wore it lightly. I've never had any faith but I quite like going to church. I don't take communion but it's a good way of meeting people I'd never normally come into contact with. And they do have some good tunes.

Yes I am agnostic but my parents were committed Christians (Protestant background so not showy). I realised this morning I hadn’t made my usual Easter tree or put out the decorated wooden eggs that belonged to my Mum, and feel I have let her down. They are both gone now, and I miss them.

That’s so kind. Mum was quite impatient, and she certainly was the ‘strict’ parent growing up, but she was also a teacher so she was really good with my two, playing games, doing creative activities & reading to them, although she wasn’t a young grandma. Being artistic also helped. A good hugger! 🥰

Thank you, here is last year’s display, some other painted eggs mixed in. We lived in Eastern European and Russia amongst other places due to my Dad’s job, and Mum collected them. Interestingly, the unusual turquoise glass dish was from San Francisco, also hers! I love it.

I find atheists to be the kindest of people. More in touch with the human moment than a fearful external locus of control passed down and potentially warped by ancient texts. That being said there are many good people who follow and live by such texts.
