Probably because our media pick up the vast majority of their stories off the international feeds and rather than seeking news themselves, they then simply parrot those feeds.

Then the talking points are then dutifully transcribed by doom-scrollers to social media.

Yep. I've enjoyed this "trending news" feed for global, and subject specific ones like FinTwits and Blacksky, but an Aussie one would be great.

You can search on #Aus or #Auspol and check most popular, but not everyone remembers to tag.

Agree, but this platform will get better.

I deleted the Twitter app some time on 6th November. My stress levels have dropped, screen time is down, and FOMO is non-existent.

Now waiting for major sports organisations to migrate over.
