if anyone is interested in what it is: it's a light echo; none of it is moving. That star went supernova, for weeks it was brighter than all other in the sky. then for three years we photographed the dust around it being lit by the flash farther and farther from the star as time went by!

this all occurred 20 thusand years ago, btw. The light from all that process took that time to get here.

My pleasure! it's one of my favourite phenomena; that whole area lightyears and lightyears wide, all filled with dust that we cannot see, all we se is black until a "candle" was lit ti illuminate it, and took three years for the light at light-speed to illuminate the outer borders. 20000 years ago!
