That’s why it doesn’t make sense. He voluntarily walked away from his job of almost 10 years tossing the benefits he earned for him and his family. I grew up as rural folk- this doesn’t smell right to me.

Well, it HAD to be a decision made in-house within the CPC since PP is still the Leader of the CPC. Isn't there supposed to be a leadership review.; the guy LOST, just as other guys have lost — they resigned. Perhaps they're scaping the bottom of the barrel with PP and have run out of candidates.

I'm no fan of PP but this is a bit of a stretch. He's still the leader of the party even without a seat. Parties are kind of tacked on to our parliament, not an integral feature.

The issue is if he offered him renumeration for stepping down, which is likely but hard to prove.
