...and the USA is concerned about which bathroom people use.
When did we become a third-world nation? Don't answer that.... I know it's due to the regressive Republicans in control that our country has moved backward since Reagan.
What's going on in Japan, first they find a way to regrow teeth now this? It's almost like if you don't spend all your tax money on Military and tax cuts to oligarchs you can find solutions.
Okay, but isn't their population ancient because their health care system and social safety net take really good care of people, so they live a long time?
The only thing that keeps the elderly warm at night and children's bellies full is the thought of American Exceptionalism. It sure as shit wont' be the American Government because that is waste and fraud, those people should get a job.
Because we have a narcissistic goon POTUS with a show size IQ that hates smart people because they remind him how ordinary he is, and since he now has power he's on a revenge tour. Everything is always about him, and even if he and his crime regime vanished, it will take 100 years to undo the damage
Its an easy headline to make yet has it been tested as with so many possible breakthroughs which sound too good to be true, the proof is in the eating, if it stands the test of time the claim could be made
We will see so much more medicine and science innovation
from other countries with the exception of the US. A lost decade or more thanks to another Republican president. Don’t forget how far behind stem cell research suffered from the hands of G. W. Bush Jr.’s presidency.
Unfortunately it still relies on blood donation to work, though it seems they can use the hemoglobin out of stale blood. If its just the hemoglobin they're extracting, I wonder if they could use other animal's hemoglobin though.
Remember when the U.S. was the world's leader in medical science and innovation?
Hey, I know how to make U.S. medical science great again. Let's gut funding to research and give billionaires MORE tax breaks. At some point, they'll be so wealthy, good health will just trickle down to all of us.
My first thought seeing the articles on this, "It'll never be available in the US, at least outside the rich circles!", because it's a potential life-saving creation, something that should be available to all, universally, but, the US, nah, too much inequality in healthcare over there...
I hope the books were better in the second half than the series. It got a bit ridiculous, but I did love the ending. It was silly, everyone knew it, and just ran with it.
Wow! I’m glad these other countries haven’t fallen into the populist know-nothing anti-science frenzy. But will they let us import new medicines? Or is it just conjure cures & prayerful non-intervention from now on like it is for Texas?
Meanwhile, in this shithole, the christian nazis are banning books, censoring libraries, universities and the media, etc. because they aren't compatible with the fucking bible. Fuck christianity. Fuck all religions. Fuck the nazis. Fuck racism. Fuck anyone who believes in imaginary beings.
This is where fiction meets reality yet again. Back in the day when we were setting our phasers to stun. A stun gun wasn't even thought of. Now they are everywhere. Art imitates life sure. Sometimes however life imitates art.🇨🇦👌
Meanwhile, maga christofacists are preaching thoughts and prayers while destroying VACCINES, hoping to infect, spread, and cause deadly disease outbreaks because they don't believe in science and medicine.
Coincidentally the Universal Blood Supply just invented by Chinese Labs pairs perfectly in time with China currently building the largest ever above and under ground military base with more than 4,OOO km of tunnels that can reach the ocean from West of Beijing.
Yes. I believe they already do with something similar as my sister in law and her entire family are JWs and two of them had heart surgery using some type of alternative to blood.
Sound a lot like Northfield’s
“Polyheme.” It was developed here in the U.S. almost 20 years ago. It ran into problems in the late testing phase. Investors bailed due to disappointing results. It’s all about the money in this country but maybe Japan will have truer motives and better luck.
Amazing what can be done when money isn't siphoned off research for gifts to the ultra-rich. Guarantee that no major scientific discoveries will come from the US for the next several decades.
From what I have read it isn’t a universal blood type it is different blood types created to match the same blood types for use.
It is in the beginnings of testing. Years away still.
There are also techniques for avoiding having to use transfusion blood in many cases (not all, I'm aware). Patients who have not received transfusions tend to heal quicker, so it's surprising that there's not more research being done into that direction

It's viewed as a crisis.
It's set to destroy their country.
