Oh that's right, a corrupted secretive commission with highly paid wages set up to sell to the voters "that we take corruption seriously, look"
Senator Lambie is correct. Brereton should never have been appointed and must resign. How do we make that happen?
Totally understand your frustration. And I'm sure those of the Commiss'ner & brilliant investigative team, who were so thorough.
Without true justice, we see cracks turn to chasms in civil society & true democracy.
Courts are bodies that have always been very slow to want to find that people, especially people in power, have committed acts of fraud or corruption.
Often these are allegations directed at people with power.
But the NACC isn't a court of law. It doesn't exercise the range coercive or binding powers that a court does.
It is also false to assume that judges, or lawyers, hold either a monopoly on, or are the pinnacle of, the ability to find facts and apply the law.
It's an either/or situation that someone in his position should know better and never be facing.

People died.

This is fast moving beyond "misconduct".
As opposed to doing bad things for no better reason than it makes your job easier, or is a lazy shortcut, or just because everybody else does it 🤷♀️
Failing to address egregious breaches of public trust?
Well, way to totally normalise it. 🙄
We need an online whistle-blower board so they can't be swept under the carpet and the whistle-blower persecuted 🤔
Corruption should be handled more like aviation safety reporting, which uses anonymous reporting to find issues before they take lives, or kill economies!
Come inside
It’s play school’
The more he indulges in this pathetic line of defence, the more convinced I am that his sole motivation was protecting those involved.

They prefer the tradition of blaming those lower down the ladder ...
And when they see their govt get away with Mates Rates and blame shifting, figure they can too ... and they did ...
He should never be or be seen to be part of the problem.
He should go.
