Deindustrialisation destroyed good non-graduate jobs. Working hard doesn't work for them.
A lot of these voters live in the Red Wall.

Rents are rising rapidly (8%) and mortgages are out of reach.
They are going Green. And they can cost us seats even where the Greens aren't in contention.

Getting them back is all about making life affordable for them again.
Here's how we do that:
1) Get energy costs down through clean energy and home insulation

3) Create good jobs for non-graduates with a focus on post-industrial areas.

Then spend that to make people’s lives better. Health, clean energy, NHS, schools, the basics.
Currently we pay for electricity based on the cost of natural gas despite most energy being made renewably.
More renewables won't change the charging rate.
