The fact that Georgia remains one of only six states without specific funding to educate students in poverty, or that we ignore the role of segregation and resource hoarding, or we treat our rural communities like inefficient markets... all play into how schools perform. 5/
What's left is the state of Georgia has begun the process of defunding poorer, Blacker public schools so that wealthier people can get a cheaper private school tuition bill.
