At the risk of being a Christian scold I will say the parable of the Good Samaritan absolutely suggests the protagonist is so self-denying that he does not look after himself. Stopping to help a robbed man on the road was to put yourself in danger. It is an appeal to ultimate sacrifice

Obviously this is dark but I want to point out that they're trying to close the Department of Education under the guise of state's control and then making it clear that they plan to tighten control over state's education practices. You know how you do that? With a strong Department of Education!

I try to care about New York as little as possible but if we could somehow convince Eric Adams that he’s mayor even after he loses and film him to see how he manages, like, events of a sim city I’d love the updates. Man is operating on another level.
