Your top priority should be ensuring workers make a living wage, that public transportation is funded, plentiful, and affordable. Oh, and making sure the ICE gestapo doesn’t illegally operate in NJ and kidnap / abduct people off the street like they did with Ras Baraka and others.

In this day and age, unions are largely expecting to only get scraps, and so don’t even ask for all that they deserve. Show leadership and solidarity, but just accepting their reasonable request, and move on. That is how you keep the trains running.

The workers and families who rely on our mass transit system are the backbone of our entire economy.

Abandoning them at the last minute is completely unacceptable and unjustifiable. But that is exactly what this small handful of locomotive engineers are doing.

Our engineers get paid less than anyone else in Penn Station, if you want to keep them then you have to pay them. If management has money for a shiny new HQ you can fairly compensate the people who keep everything running. Stop lying.

you know the locomotive engineers make $10 & $17 an hour less than their LIRR & MTA peers? you know the LIRR engineers are probably negotiating a raise. and you think that's a reason to keep underpaying your own workers??

just give people money, already.
