I ordered some 35mm rolls to try. I can always get a couple rolls of HP5 for special events and not have to worry about scratching from bulk rolling so hard to spend extra on HP5 for everyday use

The data sheet has times for 100/200/400 on it. Might be better contrast at 400 and K400 at box speed but I’m not interested in pushing it.

When I have a serious shoot or trip, I pick up a couple rolls of HP5. Then I don’t have to worry about potential scratching from the bulk loader or other weirdness.

Might keep doing that and keep doing cheaper films in bulk

I have been at this for a while so I am a patient person. I am just trying to pull back to films I can get consistently so Kentmere is great for that.

I love the 100 for sure so it’s my go to, but 200 confuses me and the 120 quality control has been bad from time to time.

I bought a 100’ roll to give it a go & try it out. I generally don’t use 200 speed B&W film but I like to have the option available. I have a roll of Fomapan 200 that’s about fully used so I thought I would try Kentmere next. The price point is better than HP5 too 😀

I ordered some of this in 120 and 135 - looking forward to seeing how it behaves. No sense in getting bulk rolls until one determined if it is a good fit. It will be hard for me to like it more than K100 in 120 - or to find it more versatile than K400 in 135, but I am pleased to give it a try.
