White "Christian" nationalism is not Christianity. It's blasphemy. It's racism. And it's one of the biggest problems we have in this country right now.

So if, for one example, you are talking to someone who tells you that "love thy neighbor" only applies to their literal neighbors, or to people in their own 'community' (code for 'same color', in my opinion), or legal citizens, that's not following those words.
It's a tough order, for sure. Humans are fallible.
My point in offering the description is that that is the possible differentiation between people of identify as Christian and adherents of Christian nationalism.
I know people who identify as Christian but disclaim Evangelism and Nationalism, and I'll tell you what they tell me: Christianity is following the words of Jesus.
The things Jesus actually (reportedly) said are in red print in virtually all bibles.
So tired of the No True Scotsman. Christian is as Christian does. Every sect gets to make their own rules including declaring thar their type of Christianity is One True Faith. Own it and just declare them to be bad people.
Remember when those Arabs kept saying that they aren't fanatical. Remember that racism? Were those these same Christians? It's very unfortunate that American Nazis are doing to Christianity what Hitler did to the sacred symbol of my culture, the Swastika.
It's too late. This rebranding is staying.
You over there aware understanding me we can make “It”; being a “Thing” sensing answers questioning together toggling constant conversation continuum creating clearing space for pieces pairing minds meeting flesh media meshing messages there; a mythology mergers US. Up front down where it counts
I Beg to disagree. You have people saying the jihadists are not true moslem, or the zionists are not representative of true judaism. One of the functions of religion is moral absolutism. Control. Its core religion at work.
Loving kind people can sense hate and flee from it. Ill will and and negativity are far from people who love and know what love is. If you hate another person, are you not full of devilish behavior?
I wrote this for all the lucky people fortunate enough to have had no direct exposure to this aggrandized ilk, and it is no exaggeration. In their puny inchoate nescient minds they cannot be wrong.

'Love thy neighbor. No exceptions.'

Secondly I would argue that we wouldn't be having a lot of these problems if religion didn't create the system for control we have today.
Abrahamic religion especially although there are other religions where the foundation is pure control.
One reason why I give a major side eye in ANY sanctuary that has 99% or ALL white and Male "church" leadership....
It's like a red flag in a snowstorm...

You know..like they always have.
It's just that now, they don't need to wear hoods any more.
