In which John Fetterman argues with inflamed self-righteousness that he's being bullied into doing parts of the job that he thinks are dumb. Like...showing up to vote. And serving on Senatorial committees. And meeting with constituents. https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/24/us/politics/fetterman-senate-absence-mental-health-interview.html?smid=tw-share

He’s in a position to at least try to make lives better for us citizens and he chooses not to show up. Fuck that guy.
That's not a slam against you or Fetterman. I'm not articulate enough or hard-working enough or clever enough to be a Senator, either. That's OK, as long as I don't try to be one anyway.
To protect our democracy we need to draft an amendment to change this and allow recall and replacement elections.

Dianne Feinstien did it, as did Strom Thurman and now Fettermen.
Sorry, work or resign.
What a disappointment.
One way or another: This smug fuck has to be ripped from power.
I’m sorry you’re going through this, but in this critical moment, it’s time to RESIGN and get the help you need!
And if you can’t do it then resign
Thanks so much, John. Just what we needed.
There's more to being a senator than "sitting around collecting paychecks," contrary to what his Republican colleagues might have told him.
Too bad i cant get my $ campaign contribution back
He is simply not fit to be a senator!
If you can do the job, do the job, Fetterman, and if you can't, tell us and stop. People all over are doing jobs they don't like.

Your continuing charade of playing the role of a US senator is a disservice to both yourself and to the voters of PA who put you in office.
It will and we can’t let it.
I’m trying to have sympathy, but if you’re that sick you should resign to recover or just retire.
There, I said what I wanted about her.
