It's been redesigned since she screenshotted, but both then and now it's an obvious parody. She also calls this image a "deepfake" which is sort of hilarious because I really feel like it's not a deepfake when it's deliberately obvious:

The idea that you should have to register a campaign and file funding information and disclosures because you wish to put up a website making fun of a candidate is this mix of hilarious and appalling. Criticizing elected officials is constitutionally protected speech, and going after WedgeLive and Taylor out of pique over an obviously satiric website (which they didn't even make!) is PROFOUNDLY DISQUALIFYING BEHAVIOR for a member of city government.

That's why she's doing it, though - if a free press finds out things about or shows things about you that you don't want known, it's not good for you.

So, Minnesota's new anti-SLAPP law (Minn. Stat. § 554.07 et seq.) would be great if John and Taylor were being sued directly. However, in the OAH matter, Thompson is merely seeking discovery via a subpoena, not suing them. And it's better suited for district court anyway.
