I could go on and on and on and on and on -- maybe individual lefty voters support things on an emotional/moral level because they believe people should be housed, fed, and educated.

We can fight about HOW to do it, but we should agree TO DO IT.

They'd be pounding the point that the only balanced budget we've had in the last 35 years was under a Dem. How the deficit explodes under every Republican, and reigns in under every Democrat.
