We've been eating sandwiches for the last 2 weeks because my dog has been injured and caring for her is a 24/7 thing right now, but we got a Costco chicken and I made this salad last night, and when I tell you I haven't stopped thinking about it for the last 16 hours? IT TASTES LIKE SPRING.

This past week: My dog was injured & needs round-the-clock care, my niece had a 77hr labor followed by a c-section followed by an infection, my friend's non-verbal disabled child is in the NICU, my other friend got oral surgery yesterday, and my other friend got diagnosed with severe ADHD.

My daughter’s speech therapist went out of business because Medicaid reimbursement rates were too low. We do not have Medicaid. I’m going to keep posting this until people understand that when Medicaid gets cut *everyone* loses services.

Shoutout to Zwilling for the best customer service I've had in forever. My Staub Cocotte developed some chips in the enamel, and they are replacing it completely for free, even though I lost my receipt. It's my favorite pot, and I'm so happy.

I'm gonna make this again extremely soon (because everyone in my house is eating it all the time), and I think the next round I'm going to add a frothy egg white to the mix to encourage more clumps and also help it stay crisp in milk for longer. I love a crispy, clumpy granola

BREAKING: Police just surrounded Rev. William Barber, prominent activist and pastor, as he and others prayed in the U.S. Capitol Rontunda. Police then expelled everyone (including press!) from the Rotunda to (presumably) arrest them. I've covered protests here a lot. Never seen anything like it.

I'm a Casual Granola Enjoyer. I like a little crispy top on the occasional yogurt, or eating out of a mug for a late night snack. I made the Eleven Madison Park granola (w a few tweaks I've written down below)-it turned out to be the best dadgum granola I've ever eaten. I've had it 5x in 2 days.
