A pensioner could hit 30+ goals with half decent service. Our style of play requires strikers to press, win the ball, and create chances for other forwards. We can’t afford the luxury of a player who does none of that but requires decent service because he can’t move.

I think Jota isn't it because he is injury prone and now off form. The fear is that he is coming back from injury too many times. This eventually takes its toll "permanently", if you know what I mean.

He only plays Jota as he has zero faith in Nunez. If our entire forward line was fit Gapko, Diaz and Salah would be his preferred front line of what he has. Gapko getting knocks allowed Diaz to be moved back out onto the wing giving Jota his run.

Not sure about that. Think Jota haas rarely been 100% fit otherwise he starts. Diaz had an electric start to the season so maybe he sees "that" goalscorer in him?

What the PSG game showed us is that Salah-aside, the strikers waste so many chances. And yet Chiesa seems to hit the target 2/3 of the time. I'd like to see him get more game time. I also agree that Kane would fill his boots as an out and out 9 for us.
