As a reminder, stop shopping at Warby Parker.

No, I'm asking if the parent of his who's a corporate attorney has subsidized his life in gentrifying Brooklyn for the past 40 years. I don't think he's getting rich off freelancing and writing for TPM.

Classic NIMBY trope: we can build only affordable housing. Sheer nonsense. Who pays Walker’s bills, I wonder.

And all of this for $9. What a steal.

And in New Jersey counties, congestion is down as well. These are tremendous time-savings.

In Manhattan, drivers are saving 17 minutes for every hour spent in traffic a year ago. In the outer boroughs, which were predicted to see increased congestion in some models, congestion is down.
At some point, the modelers should explain how they whiffed on what many of us assumed would happen.

@davecolon.bsky.social has been following the minutiae more than I have but I think a few, but not all, of the NJ claims are outstanding and maybe 1-2 in NY. They're mostly all gone at this point.

I'll take a picture of the ones at Eastern Parkway later today, but the ones with an angle top are both nicer and more useful. I haven't been at 57th St for an F in ages so I'm not sure how old that barrier is.

Lander was arrested by ICE while trying to assist an immigrant at 26 Federal Plaza yesterday.
Adams was indicted on federal charges alleging he took bribes and illegal campaign cash in exchange for political favors. His indictment was quashed by Donald Trump's DOJ.

Good lord. Eric Adams' narcissism knows no bounds.

Which makes it even more mysterious that The Times didn’t endorse him.
Or more obvious that Patrick Healy is just a conservative.

Setting aside the election, I'm disgusting by Adams and Carone right now. Lander is practicing tzedakah in a way very few other elected officials are these days, and he does it quietly without much attention (before yesterday). Were many more Democrats taking that on, the country would be better off

Like people are talking about mayoral candidates’ foreign policy while this happens to everyone here all the time what are we doing

At the end of the day, I think this is the ultimate reason why I am far more willing to roll the dice with Zohran than Cuomo

Cuomo's absence is so glaring and telling. He views other same-party political candidates as his enemies and not people vying for the same common goal.
He absolutely should not be mayor.

Pretty telling that no one expects the actual Trump-beholden Mayor to show up to these things any longer. Eric Adams is going to go down in NYC history as a world class loser.

I guess it takes a few extra minutes to get to Federal Plaza from Westchester if you don't want to pay the congestion pricing fee these days.

NYC is an extremely safe city. ICE and related federal agencies are actively and purposefully making it less safe. As they stir up violence in the coming days, remember which side it's coming from.

He'll blame Lander for resisting.
