Have they 10,000 troops to spare?

There appears to be no mention of additional personnel. Plenty of extra equipment mentioned in SDR. But it needs maintained and operated. And if they are looking at F35A, is that additional airframe or will we give up some Typhoon Sqns to offset. Too many questions I'm afraid. Not convinced ATM.

Like to know where the crews and maintenance crew will come from if they do buy additional airframes.

I got the whole arrival and Departure wrong. This is the Pumas arriving on their farewell fly past at Aldergrove.

Good snap from you, and that's a nice piece of tech being able to blow up part of the pic πŸ‘.

Former Royal Navy Commander Tom Sharpe would be a good addition. He recently wrote a good piece in the telegraph on the current awards system.

That was a wise choice in appointing Kai Kallas. She just needs all the EU members to get on board fully.

Watched this about a week ago. As a brit this kind of stuff is usually not the done thing. But it shows what one person can do and how positive support can be.

I spent 35 years in, under both Labour and Tory. Both do not prioritise defence and accommodation is way down the defence list. And both have reduced the Military. Defence does not win votes, education, health and the economy do.

I dunno why we expected anything different. Defence is at the bottom of the pile in the budget etc. But at some point the cupboards will be empty.
