Thank heavens - one less skumbag stealing from the poor in the name of religion.

I agree - we don’t need to control the game the whole time to win. Moving the ball quickly in possession and taking our chances will be key. COYFG!!!

All the above - we need to be on our game from the off tonight. COYG!!!!

With so much illness fatigue and injury it does feel like if ever there was a season to use the Jan window it should be this one…

I agree about the crowd, but I do think we should help ourselves and take note that over-extending corners and free kicks does risk pissing refs off, and we know they don’t need a lot to throw their own crummy personalities into decisions and ruin our afternoon…

Sounds like Prince but all the beats/bass are the same sounds so it’s probably just her vox tuned and harmonized, as was the fashion then…

Have you seen MOTD yet?
They show what VAR would have seen if they’d checked it properly- that Saliba heads the ball before he touches JP and so it’s just a clash of heads and clearly no pen.
comment in response to
post
The big point as per MOTD is that Saliba made contact with the ball before JP. That’s what VAR missed.
But you’re right we were generally lacking - a good analysis.

I do think a fatigue played a part in second half too. I know Brighton changed their shape, but we looked so laboured towards the end - the press failed and we were lucky to hold on to a draw…
comment in response to

Yeah - it was a crap decision by VAR not to watch it back properly as they both headed the ball before the clash of heads, but the reality is we didn’t make enough chances to score. With Nwaneri injured we definitely need more firepower in the Jan window…

Martin on - we need to dig deep now…

I think he went to head the ball but only made contact with JP’s head when JP moved it towards him…

There’s a drawing with caption in that…

So clearly a foul - you could see he was really trying to stay up and get his mark to score!

I use a frother every day at home for my coffee and now can’t drink a cappuccino anywhere else cos it’s soooo good!

I get the idea that it builds pressure on the opposition, but it’s not a good look for a possession-based team in the lead and does rather look like time-wasting 😉

Very true, but to govern with morality you need simple narratives, and religion is really good at story-telling. Mostly fairy-tales of course as they are often more thrilling…

We need to score before half time - we’ve missed too many chances…

This is very cool Huw - sounds like the soundtrack to an arty Sci-Fi movie to me!

I hope you enjoy your coffee and you get power back soon. Democracy is it seems, under threat across the world but no more so than in Ukraine right now. Please know that in Britain there is a large majority who are angered and disgusted by the Russian invasion and want to support your defence.

From what I’ve read, it has the potential to subtly influence elections too, but is controlled by the Chinese government. So yes - exactly!

It might also share the idea to a few stubborn neanderthals that football fandom can be just as competitive and a whole lot more inclusive without violence. Last time I saw the women’s team (thumped the Spuds 3-0) there was a feeling of Carnival and celebration that is sometimes lacking in the Prem.

Hiya!
Pretty well. Still have a fair bit of work and playing out with the band 3 or 4 times a month which is fun - we’re going out to play some gigs in Mumbai and then Goa in Feb.
Two of our kids were just hospitalized by measles which was scary but on the mend now.
How are you doing?

Hey Lau
It’s much more friendly on here!
Hope your move has gone well, you have enough time to look at the stars, and your creative sparks are still flying! Much love

I totally agree - the system in Rugby allows everyone to hear a reasonable discussion between ref an var with the replays and outcome explained. It also allows the ref to take less blame for hard decisions and have zero tolerance for mouthy players making the game a sporting example of fair play too

They both have something to prove right now, so hopefully either will push us on in this must win, but I tend to agree…

For me, if there’s a way we can fit such a selfish goal-scorer into the team, an out and out scorer is what we currently need.

Gyokores - yes!
ESR -No - he still wouldn’t have played enough for his value and his own need for regular football.
I reckon A will be given another 2 seasons at least considering how far we’ve come…
