Southern California photographer and historian trying to find sanity in an insane world. All photography posted here is my own work. I'm always looking for subjects to shoot, just not looking very hard.

I have been following your work for quite a long time on various social media platforms. You are truly a fantastic model and your work is sublime. You exude a classical beauty that reminds me of Sandro Botticelli's "The Birth of Venus." It is a welcome pleasure whenever you show up in my feed.

"Makes an old man wish for younger days." As an old man myself, I can verify that line to be true.

Uh, no, it wasn't. Britain didn't turn on the institution of slavery and decide to end the practice until after the Sam Sharp Rebellion in Jamaica in 1831-1832. In fact, Haiti and many former Spanish colonies that gained their independence in the Americas beat the British by over a decade.

The best moments involving shooting nudes are when you see models come out of the experience with more confidence and acceptance of their bodies than they had in the beginning. In this case, Juliana was reluctant because of her age (67), but she was thrilled with the result.

It is now a National Historical Monument. As a historian, I urge everyone who is able to visit the site, as it provides a glimpse of what life was like in the camp. It also serves as a sad reminder of how easily we tread on people's liberty when fear and xenophobia replace logic and compassion.

That is the irony of social media, I guess. It brings people closer together, but makes the physical distances seem even more cruel.

Love, love, love. I think this is one of the best images you've posted. Jealous that I don't have you in front of my camera.

I did and right after this post I saw that they had been removed. Honestly, I believe we will reach that sweet spot between when AI becomes good enough to be awesome at this, and the moment we get army of terminators to enslave us all. How long we have between those two moments is anyone's guess.
