The political oligarchs of now are the same oppressors we violently overthrew in past labor uprisings. The 1877 Railroad Strike. Battle of Blair Mountain. Homestead strikes. Plantation revolts. Violence against folks in those arenas shifted policy.

The same movements those people fought for involved TONS of violence. Spaces murdering masters. The civil war. There were countless acts of violence in the name of what’s right.
How many advancements in labor policy were the result of violent worker uprisings?

I feel that. I understand the disdain wholeheartedly, but we will need a coalition to change our current trajectory. Some of those people will have to be part of it. It’s hard to feel empathy, but we need to find enough to cooperate.

Agreed. Problem is, this isn’t strictly a GOP issue. There are monstrous, self-enriching sociopaths on both sides. There are far too many super wealthy elites in our government. Sure, the GOP are far worse, and this administration is emboldening them, but we need to reject oligarchs everywhere.

The people who voted for them do so because of a well funded, well oiled propaganda machine. They are victims of this, and we need to empathize with them as such.

I disagree wholeheartedly. Historically in this country, when people in power showed they’ve lost all regard for the quality of life for those they serve, they have faced violence.
They should fear being inflammatory. Period.

Exactly that. Losing your constituents support is only an issue if you have no concern for elections.
That being said, these disgusting people are here now, and we voted for them. Part of me just thinks they feel invincible, and it’s because we allow them to behave this way.

There is absolutely no reason any of them should have any government funded service that is better than what they provide to their constituents.

She believes she works to enrich herself and enact her own agenda.
Folks need to let her know this isn’t the case.

Absolutely. That being said, we need to make positions in government unappealing to evil sociopaths. When they consider running for office, they should understand that having this callous approach to human life will be met with consequences.
And that if our government won’t enforce them, we will.

Agreed. But, the rich elites rarely suffer. When their loved one is sick, they get top-notch in home health care aides. They don’t care for them. They pay to have them cared for.
Our experiences mean nothing to them. Firstly, because they never have them. Secondly, because they don’t care.

American people are also subjected to the most robust and well funded propaganda machine capitalism can assemble, so I understand why it can happen. I’m no longer blaming folks who are victims to a system that convinces them to oppress themselves. I blame the disgusting system.

There will come a point where the fear of harm that may be will be lesser than the pain of the harm that is. That day will come, and I believe people will act accordingly.

Problem is… he is exempt from the law. We’ve proven that 1,000 times over. And as he continues to get away with it, he will only do grow more and more brazen and corrupt. And the only folks who can do anything about it is US. Institutions will not save us.
