And that’s just lifting weights. Rock climbing (even making it your whole personality) is more left. Probably. I haven’t done a study or anything.

If you acquiesce to the lies they tell about trans athletes then that gives credibility to the lies they tell about “more pressing issues.” Appeasement doesn’t work.

It’s a scientific issue! But the relevant scientific field is *psychiatry.*

I know might get a little bit of heat for this innocently boneheaded comment. Don’t change all your views and become conservative because of it.

The essence of bigoted “hatred” is defamation and conservatives freely defame trans people regarding this issue. They frequently tell unambiguous lies about the biology of trans people.

He defines it as “giving money to the supplement industry.”
Vaccine preventable illnesses are a huge source of chronic illness and chronic illness drives the supplement industry.

Okay! That’s my line. I’m taking action.

It won’t, they’ll blame the vaccine like RFK Jr suggests in his letter to Samoa’s Prime Minister. Samoans were smart enough not to fall for it. American anti-vaxxers are too arrogant and will believe it.
Expect them to use this outbreak to try to ban vaccines.

A university professor! It is indeed plausible that you could have access to the tools to do such a thing.

You could’ve purposely released an engineered virus into the market. It also hasn’t been conclusively disproven.
comment in response to
post
Maybe you went into a cave, picked a random bat, and brought it into the Huanan seafood market because you were trying to get people sick.
The evidence shows that the market was the early epicenter of the pandemic, after all. Every possibility is equally as likely based on that information.
comment in response to

What’s the scientific paper that defines “the natural zone of coronavirus” and which paper shows that none of the animals in the wet market, the early epicenter of the covid19 pandemic, were from said zone?
comment in response to
post
The market didn’t exist before September 2019?
comment in response to
post
To expand on this, the CIA trades on rumors and such, which isn’t nothing. But the actual direct evidence, things that are observable and measurable show that the epidemic centered on the wet market.
comment in response to
post
So the coverup aspect bolsters that it came from the wet market, along with the direct epidemiological evidence that suggests it spread from the wet market.
comment in response to
post
Coverups like how the Chinese government destroyed the animals at the wet market?
comment in response to

There is zero evidence that it’s a lab leak.

Reflexively shunning even the appearance of sympathy towards anti-vaxxers is correct, I think. Maybe reflexive shunning is bad in general but it’s definitely correct in this case.
comment in response to
post
For example, his idea that big pharma needs to be regulated is correct only in a vague, broad sense. On the detail his ideas about how pharma should be regulated are so incorrect it lends credence to the idea that they shouldn’t be.
comment in response to
post
We’re not shunning all his ideas, we’re shunning his ideas which are bad. The fact that he has any good ideas at all should just be ignored, it definitely should not be *the headline*. Even in his ideas which are broadly correct he isn’t a particularly insightful voice.

I like the point that vaccine mandates are “the only thing that has been shown to work to get meaningful vaccine uptake in a population.”
But it gets causation wrong, RFK Jr isn’t just responding to vax distrust, his misinformation is causing it too.
comment in response to

The article peddles in untrue stereotypes about liberals and the sort of people who were anti-vax pre-covid.
