Great writing David. That was quite the skirmish with Pedro and Marc at the start. Fermin is really impressive. Sure some good battles with Pedro. Will be interesting to see tire choice for the race tomorrow.

First year we rode through a low tunnel (some revving) then up a small rise. Saw a guy pointing to his right (left for us) and giving the GO sign. I knew we were in the middle of the back straight at Indy. Obliged and pinned it heading towards what is turn two of the oval. Was awesome

Sure looks like it. On corner exit they get gapped by everyone

Oh it was nuts seeing it live. You could see the front end never touched down until that next left hander. We both rode to Indy four years straight. Also a huge bonus was they also ran the AMA dirt mile flat track on Saturday night. If you rode a motorcycle you could go in the infield

Oh me too. After I retired I moved to Bremerton Washington. Two blocks from the grandkids and had a cool apartment right on the water. Loved the smell of saltwater. Big tide changes and there were several good size tide pools. A few photos, was a cool little neighborhood

No idea why but I picture you somewhere near the ocean. How’s that for random haha!
Every day a new clusterfuck it seems.
Hard not to be Captain Negative these days.
Have a good evening RC

Bravo 👏👏👏 I love clouds and crazy cool skies as well. These were when I still lived in Tennessee. Cool skies, scary storms

Haha indeed! The Aprilia’s look horrifying on corner exit. I feel Bezz is a really good racer but turning a fast lap on that bike looks like the danger zone

Personal opinion but both Yamaha and Honda seem to lack off corner acceleration so I’d blame traction control etc. Amazing how fast the Yamaha’s have been lately until today. I don’t think Fabio made a single lap without an issue. I think the Ducati factory teams ride height gizmo works the best

That’s a good track for the bikes. Hope Yamaha software guys find some help for their bikes.

My son and I rode to the Indy MotoGP four years straight. Think it was 2008, Dani went down like on the first lap. Remounted and had the TC rolled way back. Exiting a right hand onto the back straight bike was sideways, smoke off the tire and the front end about 8” in the air. Was crazy to see live

It’s certainly nice to see him having good speed now. Izan as well. I figured he’d be right up near the front.

Was surprised to see he has the lap record set last year on the GP24. Think it was .600 or so

I hope there’s a place way worse than hell for him, he’s earned it.

Always enjoy your writing David. As a rider who has already had front folds I would imagine it would be really hard to build confidence again. Obviously a very fine line

Beautiful! I couldn’t find the photo I wanted but here’s another. It’s desert here. Some time ago we had a fair amount of rain (for here). Not long after I was riding up into the mountains and the hills were covered with the beautiful little wild flowers.

Wow that’s great. I broke 11 when I had my wildlife encounter plus a few others. Most annoying is I’ve had almost no feeling on my left side. Been almost three years and some feeling has returned. Feels like that whole side is asleep. Also the plated ribs don’t flex like before.

I’m hoping they didn’t have to use titanium plates to repair his ribs. That surgery wipes out lots of nerve connections.
