There are multiple subscription levels - I find the $10/mth option fantastic.

100%.
It'll never be the MEC it once was. But if the new owners are smart they can make it something different - but good.
It's going to be tough to win back customers like you & your friends (and me!) but I'm hoping they can.

The idea of cutting your losses clearly doesn't exist in the dead internet.

Insanely cool mega-structure. I'd love to ride up on a cargo ship one day!

What we really need: public toilets, later transit, well-lit streets.
As Ottawa's night commissioner said: "A nightclub can have the same impact as a symphony."
And I'm not saying we need to try and become Montreal - but a little bit of fun wouldn't hurt our city.

The policy changes are actually good:
- Nightclubs outside downtown? Yes
- 25% of bar space for entertainment? About time
- Arts permits for pop-ups in weird spaces? Let's go
Transit that runs after midnight would be nice too. Service workers need to get home too.

Today's "fixed costs" have become volatile, making it harder for businesses to grow, hire, and even stay open.
We need to build a foundation that lasts - one with good jobs, local ownership, and resilient communities.
Let's get to work.
