I've said this before and I'll say this again. If you're going to pick teams based on the politics of certain players (or ex-players), you're going to be severely disappointed whether you're on the left or the right. Every team has a mix of dudes. Owners, well, that's a different story.

EA Sports College Football 26 has Jeremiah Smith and Ryan Williams on the cover which is bad for me because I keep getting them confused. On a radio appearance a couple weeks ago I talked about Emeka Egbuka competing with Ryan Williams for targets and felt like an idiot afterwards.

The most interesting thing about flag football in the Olympics is who would win silver and bronze. I guess I would lean Samoa and Canada. Japan and Mexico will be interesting. Germany? Will there be rules like in the WBC? A Korea team with guys like Kyle Hamilton?

Thanks for @brykno.bsky.social for pointing out to me that the 49ers had the highest DVOA ever for a team with 11+ losses. The only other two 11-loss teams with positive DVOA were 2001 SD (went from 5-11 to 8-8) and 1996 BAL (4-12 to 6-9-1). Also high on this list: 2023 LAC (5-12 to 11-6).
