Seems I hit a nerve. ;) You’ve made me feel especially grateful I did not have a parent like you, so thank you.

describe our relationship to our children. The implications of what permissions that grants are grave. Again, we do not own people, no matter what age they happen to be.

The only instance that “ownership” is invoked you can think of is an animal. When it comes to human beings, the only instance the word “ownership” is invoked is in relation to slavery. We should not be using the same word to describe items, animals or enslaved people to (1/2)

It isn’t merely semantics, it’s nuance and accuracy. What sorts of things do you use “own” or “ownership” to describe? I assume like most people, it’s items and property, but never people. Children are people. We do not own people. We are responsible for + guardians of children. Not owners.

Unnecessarily verbose… 🤸🏻 the average American cannot even define “propriety.” Just say it: CORRUPTION.

“Foreign influence opportunity” is a bit verbose, you could simply say “corruption”

Rage bait? Idiocy? An ill conceived joke?

Wow, I had not even heard this story until today. I’m sure it’s on purpose that this story is buried.

Seems plausible, I would be still interested to know where these stats are coming from. Also, let’s all please be honest about the word “deported” and *only* use it when actually referring to sending a person back to their country of origin.

Your poetry is metal. A contrasting thought on LLMs: What if it’s not a demon—it’s a mirror. If it is "poison," it’s because LLMs reflect the contradictions of the humans who made it: our creativity AND exploitation, curiosity AND carelessness. Which means we are the demon looking in the mirror.

I’d love this to be true, it could happen, but it didn’t happen. Let’s stop spreading misinformation.

Just finished listening to an episode of “Consider This” that was highly alarming about RFK’s recent focus on autism… I’ll be unsubscribing from all NPR news and shows.

Math matters… 1,500x30days= 45,000 deportations/mo. That’s not “way less” than Biden.
