#MTGCOTD 141 is Gorilla Shaman. I'm a big fan of this card. You'll not likely destroy your opponents Aetherflux Reservoir for nine, but destroying sol rings, food tokens, mana crypts, etc, repeatedly is pretty great. Good use of any spare floating red mana that may go to waste. Apes together strong.

Rewatching it, I think the Thirteenth Doctor has the best end regeneration story. There's a lot of pieces in the air, but it's still super fun. Fifth Doctor and Thirteenth, genuinely great. #MTGCOTD 138 is Axgard Armory. A five mana equipment tutor in Boros ain't bad as an extra mode on a land, shame it's a mono colour tap land. Puts you behind on mana too, which is a harder catch up in R/W, not as much as it used to be but it ain't no Golgari.

#MTGCOTD 135 is Sarcomancy. That zombie is serving, the belt, the hoops, the armlet, it's all good. I also love this card design. A quick upside with a potentially long-lasting downside is so fun. You could flicker this, doing so at instant speed for suprise blockers would be a great combat trick.

The cargo pants convo with Heidi sparked this visual, and once it was in my head, I had to draw it. Liefeld’s art hit 80s/90s teen-me hard. It was chaotic, angry, and iconic, & I DID dig it at the time. So yeah, it’s a loving parody, feet and all, tied back to that “SHOE” strip from a few weeks ago.
