The nurse who took my blood told me I couldn't drink for two hours afterwards or the liquid would squirt out through the hole in my arm. I believed her! This is how tired is am 😆

Hi Phil, I'm good thank you! 😀 (Just a bit tired to having to remind clinicians at every appointment that I'm a bit different to the patient they are expecting to see because of my cancer treatement) How are you?

There is an amazing historical article in the BMJ seriously discussing the problem of what 'lady doctors' should be called (the answer obviously couldn't just be 'doctors'). Will try and find it

I just checked out style guide: 'physician in the UK usually means a non-surgical medical specialist (see AMA stylebook for the American point of view). Use “doctor” unless there is a reason not to (eg, it’s distinguishing a physician and a surgeon)'

Okay good, I just wondered becuase obviously in the UK the Royal College of Physicians covers a distinct group of doctors, where as I (wrongly I'm sure) imagine that in the US the word just means general 'doctor' (in the sense that I would use that word in the UK)

However, I've asked at the desk and apparently the appointment still exists in their system and I'm to wait. "It's not been cancelled at our end" (I mean the letter in my app cancelling it begs to differ). Now I wait to see I guess.
