We deserve to be seen for who we are, not how we look.
We deserve not to be the villains and monsters in media, or the pity party or inspiration porn for social media clout.
We are just people, looking a bit different, looking for the same things as everyone else.

I'm not ashamed of my face, it tells a story of what I experienced to still exist.
But how others see my face sometimes makes me wish it was something more easily hidden. And sometimes, not helped by being autistic, it's easiest to hide completely.
People with facial differences deserve better.

It also means dealing with facial recognition software that doesn't quite work well for us.
For me, facial gestures are less accurately detected because my features are not symmetrical.
I recently turned off the Face ID on my laptop as it often needed me to adjust my position so it recognized me.

That hurt comes on top of the physical pain or discomfort a facial difference might impart.
In my case, a lot of scar tissue that some days hurts more than others, but is always limiting mobility.
I also dealt with decades of bad teeth, but those are now cyborg bits I can take out when annoying.

BlueA11y is available for Chrome (and compatible browsers):

And Firefox:
addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo...
Perhaps it's due an update, but it still seems to be working well. 2/2

On face value the idea looks like a bunch of cognitive in-accessibility by design.
But if implemented right (i.e. having players relearn skills with appropriate guidance) it could actually be an accessibility boon, helping returning players relearn the game.

And all of my support to those who had to deal with the situations at the organization. Especially those who had the courage to come forward.
I'm sure there is so much more still untold, but what is told should already be shocking to everyone.

I have every fancurve in my somewhat compact PC set to be as audibly sensible, but so many games just want to squeeze every frame per second they can out of it when 60-120 is more than reasonable (too low gives me headaches, so it's a fun balancing act).

Smuggle some to the Netherlands! The price is low now but still close to $8/gallon.
