Bill C-2 could allow them to ask a doctor if they know of any specialist services – for example, a psychiatrist, oncologist, or abortion service – a client is using. She said this would allow the police to then approach them to glean information without a warrant. 5/

The presence of CCBR's graphic images on university campuses across Canada disrupts community life, forces some students to take alternate routes to classes (or avoid attending at all), fuels harassment, creates trauma and harm, and misrepresents established medical facts.

This evening UK Parliament voted to reform abortion law. It is the most substantial reform in almost 50 years. This is an historic moment.

Tonight there will be a vote to remove women from the UK's criminal law on abortion. Solidarity!

"I've grown up around anti-abortion billboards," said Sophie Harms who has spent much of her life in the Central Okanagan. "I want a billboard to say that abortions are safe, normal and common." But billboard companies say that's too "controversial." 😡

An activist group who fought for a "viewer discretion" bylaw to regulat graphic anti-abortion flyers in London is screening a documentary about how they did it. But an anti-choice org has also started litigation against the City of London over the bylaw. They have no case of course.

Graphic images should be banned at schools!

"Abortion causes breast cancer" is just one of the myths and misconceptions that fake clinics a.k.a Crisis Pregnancy Centres weaponize to scare people into continuing a pregnancy. If you've had a misleading or unhelpful experience at a CPC, we want to hear from you📣 www.arcc-cdac.ca/share-your-c...

A UBC Okanagan student who raised more than $3,000 for a pro-choice billboard in Kelowna is unable to get a billboard company to put it up. They either ignore her or say it's "too controversial". Meanwhile, they put up anti-choice billboards!

Rest in peace to Dr. Etienne-Emile Baulieu, inventor of the abortion pill! 🩺 Thank you for dedicating your life to improving so many others, and for revolutionizing reproductive care. We will continue to advocate for widespread access and destigmatization in your honour. www.msn.com/en-ca/news/w...

Horrifying news from the UK. We are thinking of Maryam Riaz and her family, and everyone who continues to be the target of state violence, stigma, and criminalization in pursuit of autonomy. 💔 www.examinerlive.co.uk/news/local-n...

Abortion has been, and remains, a regulated practice in Canada. 🧑‍⚖️ Here’s how key court decisions have shaped abortion access in Canada, and how it is in fact, protected by Charter rights. Paper by Isabelle Berry, UNB Faculty of Law. www.arcc-cdac.ca/media/aborti...

Canadian evangelicals don’t have the same political clout as their U.S. cousins — 30% of the U.S. population identifies as evangelical compared with 10% in Canada — and they don’t have someone like Donald Trump to get behind. But that doesn’t stop many of them from seeking the same goal.

Shout-out to @abortionrightscan.bsky.social for updating the list of 🇨🇦 anti-choice MPs.

We ❤️ Renee Bracey Sherman: "Any leader, funder, or organizer who believes that our liberation will come through segregation, theocracy, apartheid, or genocide has no place within the reproductive freedom movements. Defunding us for taking such a stance only does the dirty work of our oppressors."

Michael is among a new wave of doctors who are leaving the US to escape the Trump administration. Since Trump was reelected, American doctors have shown skyrocketing interest in becoming licensed in Canada.

Inuit, Métis and First Nations women in Canada are coming forward like never before, sharing their experiences of being forced or coerced to undergo surgical sterilization. The practice is still happening and Katy Bear is among those fighting for reproductive justice.
