ChatGPT killing it with the analysis. "Dear chat, now do it again but in the style of Sebastian the NYC underground nightclub reviewer from SNL weekend update"

It was pretty challenging for me that suddenly *everything* was canon and we're expected to come into every new show with full context. Secret war (for ex) jumped right into a whole bunch of things that required I'd seen like 1 or 2 movies before? Things stand up better on their own.

OK this is the first time I've heard of "Abundance" used in this way and there's something that just isn't adding up. Is this a rebranding of trickle-down? Some awkward neo-feudalist movement? It's giving "effective altruism/sex cult" are unions demanding decent wages and safe working conditions?😱

Do they have pockets?! They don't look like they have pockets.

Imagine the madness of having two different names for the exact same thing? Or slightly different words used to communicate nuance. Thank God that doesn't happen. What a ridiculous and confusing world we'd live in if there was more than one word.

the US presidency really is famous for being the kind of clock in clock out 9 to 5 that offers a fair bit of leeway around personal time and the potential to pick up a side-hustle. The real question here is why is the Tenessee Holler against hustle culture? Do they hate big tech? Frankly, offensive
comment in response to post
as I've told you before Garrett ... the president has a side hustle and you of all people should know that we in america celebrate hustle culture.

Do you think it would help if you mentioned the state and towns or district you're running for in the text of your post? I suspect it is more likely to find the people you need if you target your voters better. "The algorithm" and all that...

If there was a practical book of short film projects. It might help guide us around what to film.

This is pretty similar to how the US government dismantled IWW (Union) and other socialist movements. The espionage act has traditionally been deployed to harry left aligned organization. Zinn writes about that in the People's History of the United States. (IIRC)

... a dad who gets 30 minutes of gaming at 11PM after their toddler has spent 3 hours screaming about how they're not tired while obviously exhausted? If someone just wants to watch the demons of hell explode in a rain of viscera and blood but doesn't want to work for it that's OK by me 🤷

It drags a little through book 8 & 9. If you push through it's worth it. Jordan died before he finished and his wife, who had all his notes, hired Sanderson to finish posthumously. He did a fantastic job of capturing Jordan's voice (IMO) seamlessly. I think you're in for a real treat

oh my actual gosh... if you haven't read this one I'll not spoil a thing except to say this is one of the few long-running series that in my opinion has a super satisfying ending. I read this as it was published, then again a couple years back and it holds up pretty well overall.

I'd mentioned that to a friend and they responded: "The scene hit me like you described, though I wouldn't have had the words until now!" So I suspect it may not have been an uncommon reaction for people of a certain age. In an interview, Genvieve mentioned trying to convey the heat of Ibiza.

if you're generally interested in gathering people's reactions, this was one of mine to the previous batch. A mix of nostalgia and dread from the dancing. I was transported to 1995 in the memories of being 20 years old, then reminded of my age and, the passage of time. bsky.app/profile/ache...

A coworker says their steamtime is 115 hours, obviously that's skewed by leaving it running while walking away for dinner and stuff. But there's a guideline.

Concretely, understanding the concepts and formulae around sources of value, socially necessary labor value, machines and (Drucker's) concepts of information economy make it easier to have confidence when planning and prioritizing strategic business investments and work.

In no small way, I suppose that's what art is supposed to do right? Make you feel something? The way the context of the story really fed into that complex gamut of emotion I had was incredible. I was legit sobbing through that scene. Andor has this way of making me cry a lot. It's just that good.

I felt the desperation on her face reflected in me. It made me think about the nature of youth, health, aging, the inevitability of death, how we need to prepare for the day we're gone. A nostalgia mixed with dread

Wouldn't the supreme court's "presumed immunity" ruling make all of this a moo point? The level of corruption is pretty staggering.

I had to Google for it. Wizard magazine had a feature where they'd imagine a group of people who would make the cast for the live action version of a comic book. Looks like it was from over 20 years ago. old.reddit.com/r/comicbooks...

I'm no geopolitical expert ... But mentioning the unilaterally imposed tariffs multiple times it really sounds like they're saying "we will begin to consider starting talks after the US unilaterally drops the tariffs they unilaterally imposed" Or "first, cut the shit, second, we talk" power move.
