This is 100 percent why imo and I’ve felt that way since OD. You’ll notice Apple doesn’t use it.

In the foreword to a collection of her reviews, Anthony Bourdain said: “She is never mean, even when circumstances would clearly excuse a sharp elbow, a cruel remark. In fact, watching Marilyn struggle to find something nice to say about a place she clearly loathes is part of the fun.”

Take him to Amoeba and get him into vinyl. Do a Last Bookstore/Grand Central Market/Angel’s Flight day. Oh wait, I’m just saying things I would do, in my 40’s, currently. Carry on. 🙃

We can never ever afford to not be idealistic. Without our ideals, there really won't be a difference between the parties. You've made a lot of very fair hay out of "both parties are the same", but a Dem party without ideals only bolsters that message. This is why the Third Way has always sucked.

💯 The only trans people making Dems lose are working at the DNC and embrace third way centrism like this in times which call for anything but that.

I know this is going to sound crazy but it's almost as if our internet echo chambers are not real life

"I don't know why anyone who isn't an overt nazi or racist still posts there." ...so close OP. So close! People posting there are complicit, and their guilt by association is a result of their choice to be complicit. But make no mistake, it's still guilt.

Our national character is reflected accurately in our failure to lead on climate, our enabling of genocide in Gaza, and our re-writing of and running from our racial sins of the past, present, and future. I found our national character. Problem is, it's rotten.

Honestly just vibes, thus "probably." Her state of mind the morning of (per her own admissions), certainly reflected that she thought she could have done it. And I just don't see a compelling alternate scenario. But this is the reason more likely than not does not equate to Reasonable Doubt.

You’re right on with that. It’s a dead cop so they’re going to go for everything they feel like they can. But that feels like too big of a bite and seemingly did for the first jury as well.

When I tell you this same thing happened to me after I watched that documentary I still cannot believe she and her defense team allowed. I think she probably did it but in typical fashion, police arrogance + incompetence = reasonable doubt. Prosecution seems way better this second trial though.

it is *so* frustrating, but also why it's so validating to know others are similarly frustrated, and that others also see a line in the sand where these people who need to fix their hearts clearly don't.

A thing I never realized until I started frequenting r/cryptids is how people do gatekeeping about whether a dogman is a cryptid or a werewolf or what.

Having listened to all of the **award winning** Gutter shows the last several months, it feels like the dearth of available game changing options who are more traditional number 9's might be part of this as well. Manager is adaptive and clearly is not the type who feels the need to force solutions.

Masterpiece is right. You’ll have a tough time finding a mainstream show with as full throated a statement about the importance, and cost, of resistance and revolution. Some 🐐 tv to be sure. For a prequel series to a sandwiched-in franchise film to be this good is a magic trick.
