Cuts have consequences. And the consequences of this bill will be devastating—people across the country, including cancer patients, will live sicker and die sooner.
Congress is going too far, too fast, without all the facts.

These proposed cuts will lead to more suffering and death from #cancer, reversing course on the downward trend in cancer death rates.
We call on the president to reverse course and protect the programs and services at #HHS that have made our country a global leader in #CancerResearch. (2/2)

Jung A benefitted from #BiomarkerTesting & has been advocating for legislation that would decrease barriers to this testing in MA. She spoke at ACS CAN Massachusetts Cancer Action Day, their Research Breakfast & testified in front of the legislature. We’re lucky to have volunteers like her! (3/3)

3/3 Punishing those with serious illnesses like cancer by cutting their health care will only lead to worse health outcomes and increased costs. @acscan.bsky.social urges the Senate to reject these harmful cuts and stand up for those who depend on #Medicaid to survive.

2/3 The bill accelerates implementation of work requirements to Dec. 2026, putting vulnerable people at risk of losing coverage in critical moments of their treatment plans. The majority of recipients who can work already do & work requirements have repeatedly failed in states. This is unacceptable.

These layoffs give Big Tobacco—which has proven they will lie, cheat and litigate their way out of government oversight—almost free rein to sell their deadly products without giving communities the info and resources they need to quit and prevent people, especially youth, from ever starting. (3/3)

The AAPI Volunteer Caucus advocates to help eliminate disparities in AANHPI communities, such as lower cancer screening rates compared to White populations. They also work to increase awareness about cancer screening through online campaigns & events. #AANHPHeritageMonth (2/3)

I strongly urge these lawmakers to listen to their constituents, including many cancer patients & reconsider their stance as this bill advances. We ask Congress to remove these life-threatening cuts before the bill moves forward. If cuts are not removed we urge Congress to oppose. #ProtectMedicaid
