This makes it so federal courts can't hold people (i.e., Trump officials) in contempt for violating a court order.
Which is clearly unconstitutional.

We might think of #KarolineLeavitt's
over-the-top enthusiasm and positivity, the fantasy world that she (like Nicole Kidman's Suzanne Stone) appears to live in, as a particularly American phenomenon.

Ever see "To Die For" w Nicole Kidman?
She plays Suzanne Stone, an ambitious but naive weather woman who seduces a dumb kid (Joaquin Phoenix) to kill her husband.
Press Secretary #KarolineLeavitt has the same over-the-top ambition and enthusiasm/naivete mixed with...maybe not evil...but close.

#KarolineLeavitt has the enthusiasm of a child combined with an ambitious & manipulative nature.
Like Suzanne Stone (Nicole Kidman) in "To Die For" who seduces a dumb kid (Joaquin Phoenix) to kill her husband.
Karoline has the same over-the-top enthusiasm/naivete mixed with evil.

That requirement is not met by sending out a press release. Unless there's a red curb or a sign posted, the law is being unconstitutionally implemented.

No lawyer but seems to me the way the daylighting law is being implemented is unconstitutional. Concept of advanced notice is fundamental to due process. The government can't take people's property in the form of a ticket without giving advanced notice.

Cowboy
Of the burbs
Roaming his property
With a big gun
Protecting his family
His only son
Looking for an animal
See it run
In the night, eyes
Stunned
Paralyzed
As he points his gun
Protecting his family
Is the story he's
spun

@jonlovett.bsky.social provides the nuance missing in Vance's argument.

Good piece. You know who they used to blame autism on before they blamed the vaccines? The mother -- or more specially, the "refrigerator mother "

Trump & Leavitt stabbing our Founding Fathers in the back!
They gave us DUE PROCESS & these anti-American, evil forces in the White House want to cut it out of the Constitution. They'd like to burn the Constitution if they had it their way, esp the Bill of Rights, bc it places limits on their power.

The right doesn't tend to like calm, thoughtful discussion & discourse. That's suspicious in & of itself. :)
Doesn't matter if it's politically or ideologically liberal.
What matters is that it's culturally alien to them.
Thus the resentment: The government is spending money on THEM, not on US.
