If it helped their draft position, players might jump at the opportunity. Draft prospects are also very competitive so might jump at the opportunity if it means getting another chances to show up.

It's very complicated. You want to give players freedom to choose where they play but from a league perspective, it is going to make life very difficult for teams.

In order to play in the CHL, you sign a contact. That's why players could never jump to the NCAA in the past.
