Was very happy at my 1st show to get a Tap > Iron Lung opener. The only songs I knew the title of.

Jerry played with more fire during that brief RFK '95 sit in with Dylan than he did in any GD show I saw in 1994-1995. Sigh.

The final two East Coast summer tour runs of the Grateful Dead in ‘94 and ‘95, openers I saw were Traffic and Bob Dylan, respectively. Both were better than the headliner.

For most of the 1982-1984 period, the top audience recordings are superior to the vault tapes.

That is one of the few runs of that era that still has no circulating sbd.

Loved watching this with my kiddos. I might have enjoyed it more than they did.

Fairly positive that Derek Trucks owns and plays a resonator previously owned by Bukka White. Oh yeah, Bukka White was also a cousin of BB King.

This is most likely because it was a signature cover regularly performed and sung by Col. Bruce Hampton (ret). Also, Bukka White was certainly not a bluegrass picker. youtu.be/szGRsuK8MbM?...

Dropped in a few minutes later and discover that Iron Lung was happening: definitely on the shortlist of Gizz tunes that pulls me in. 🤘

My first Pee-Wee sighting was in Cheech and Chong's Next Movie. Was unforgettable, if not totally unappealing to my comedic tastes. I was perfectly situated for the start of Pee-Wee's Playhouse, coinciding with bleary-eyed college Saturday mornings. Brilliant stoner performance art.
