What are your thoughts on the claim that the PKK is disbanding?
comment in response to post
At the very least this means Jolani can't pressure the AANES as much right?
comment in response to post
Do things seem better in Syria? Is Jolani making any suspicious moves?
comment in response to post
I FUCKING FOUND IT YES
comment in response to post
Wait until you hear about Trump agreeing with the Taliban to move back into Bagram Airbase
comment in response to post
That's honestly the main argument AGAINST their ability to resist Israel- they have a lot of modern non-US equipment too and there is a lot of evidence pointing towards a massive ballistic missile and chemical/biological program.

I've actually been seeing a lot about how Egypt is way more capable than people make it out to be. There's an extremely intriguing account I'll point you towards if you're interested.

No offense but let's not beat around the bush here and act like the media acted independently of Democrats that openly talk about abandoning the left for collaboration with the second senior citizen, union-busting, Arab-mulching political party lol
comment in response to post
I think you're missing an important detail here: just about ANY fascist party gaining popularity at any point (Germany, Turkey, India, France, Germany again) has been because the establishment liberals are corrupt and complacent.

Local 420? Must be a real blaze there.

Makes sense.

How exactly are they worse?

But charlie you don't understand we have to respect the people who hurt themselves slaughtering children!!!!1!11!1!111!11111111!!!!111!!11!1111!!!!!

Turns out it was a little sooner than that... (although they were technically Soviet depth charges and looked like they were dropped right next to water, so it's a little vague)
comment in response to post
From what I've heard, most of the killings are from the SNA and fringe groups that HTS is trying to rein in.
comment in response to post
I'm not sure that they're more right- wing than Al Qaeda. They seem to sort of allow unveiled women and coexistence with Christians, which I assume AQ opposes. Feel free to correct me.

There's actually ironclad evidence they were funded by Israel in 2006 and onward to split Palestine. Given the influence that implies and that it's clear Israel was at least complicit in October 7th, it opens the possibility they were completely puppeteered by Israel.
comment in response to post
I don't necessarily mean a full-scale war, what people probably mean is setting up bases to warn them off and apparently switching up conscription policy to prepare for the possibility of a war, although I don't know the details. Also yeah, I doubt anyone would lose sleep over it lol.
comment in response to post
I've heard a claim that Turkey wants to reduce risk to their supply lines into southern Syria because they might be relocating there to fight Israel. It sounds somewhat insane but I'm inclined to believe it.

I think you mean "to gamble" www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrUn...

I doubt he's up to that either, he's like 80 and has lived a high- stress life.

This Egyptian guy who's connected to the government and posts a lot of spooky, interesting details like their secret ballistic missile and chemical weapons programs. Also why the hell did the OP on here block me lol.
comment in response to post
@theophite.bsky.social i came here from this guy's twitter lol, he posted a screenshot of this
comment in response to post
Please understand there's no offense intended but frankly, I was a little worried by the immense adoration he's been shown. I'm really glad to hear it doesn't translate into unquestioning loyalty/ a personality cult because that really screws up movements.
comment in response to post
Do you think there's any possible foreign cooperation to be done? France seems to be positioning themselves against Turkey and Ukraine may disapprove of deeper ties between the regime and Russia.
comment in response to post
If you don't mind, what do you do in the AANES currently? I'm curious and I don't think you've mentioned it previously
comment in response to post
Maybe they were just lazy about the flag design?
comment in response to post
As someone who's always confused by your recaps, I really appreciate the added context.
comment in response to post
Wait, he's back and posting? I'm so confused lmao??? I really hope this isn't on a timer because I didn't check for a while and I hope I still have time
comment in response to post
Oh, also! I have a question: I haven't heard anything about Gulf arms sales to the Taliban. What are the Taliban getting exactly and could you point me towards some sources or post a thread or something? It seems very interesting.
comment in response to post
@spawnofkahn.bsky.social It doesn't seem that Hezbollah and HTS are getting along well. Is this kind of like how Iran gets bullied by the other coalition members?
comment in response to post
My only intent is to save the posts, which to my comparatively inexperienced eyes are practically the Library of Alexandria (and to experienced ones I assume are still a v useful resource). I don't want to pass up this solution, where in my understanding EVERYONE benefits.
comment in response to post
Thank you, but I need to be very very clear that I'm only asking because there's an obvious way he can keep the account public but not be bothered by notifications etc. I don't want to sound rude and I completely agree with his decision to stop posting.
comment in response to post
Sorry, what? I assume you mean the FAA has been gutted like other regulatory agencies and unless Haqqani is lobbying Congress it's not his fault
comment in response to post
I think I mentioned my theory that American libs' behavior stems from really wanting an acceptable slur for Republicans. I'm not tuned into this but it seems like the same "burning down your trees to save your forest" category.
comment in response to post
Or maybe keep the account but just turn off notifications and sign out, which would have the same effect because he just doesn't want to be bothered by it anymore. Any help would be INCREDIBLY well appreciated.
comment in response to post
Well fuck, he deactivated his account. I'm sorry to push this but is there any way you could get him to reactivate it for, like, maybe the weekend? There's something very important I need to do.
comment in response to post
@spawnofkahn.bsky.social You think this is just corporations being incompetent or something else?
comment in response to post
Holy fucking shit KD I have relevant information, want me to explain how this might actually make sense?
comment in response to post
My point is that his account is privated and I made a Twitter account just to send the follow request but IDK if he's approving them. I wanted to ask you if you could do that in case he isn't.
comment in response to post
I know this might be a stretch, but I really think his stuff is that important to preserve. Turning off notifications and signing out means he still isn't disturbed by interactions AT ALL. I suppose he could upload his posts somewhere but then we'd lose the replies *which are almost as important*.
comment in response to post
Yeah I think it's confirmed that it was because Twitter sucks. If you still have contact with him, I'd be EXTREMELY grateful if you tried to get him to unlock his account and turn off notifications or something (which would achieve the same intent) instead of keeping it locked or deactivated.
comment in response to post
ok so basically @spawnofkahn.bsky.social I know TrackingAQ has already mentioned the symbolic importance of 2026 as the 9/11 anniversary, but since 10/7 was on the 1973 date it seems possible they're planning their most significant attack on 9-11-2026, with only distracting/practice attacks before.
comment in response to post
Oh, by the way: when do you think that 2025-26 "AoM goes on the offensive" period will start? I have a theory that I'd like to share with you... 👀 as you say
comment in response to post
The fact that he called it Viktor & Co (his name for his group of political allies, relating to the "Swan Laking" he talks about planning) and used that foreboding title (and reactivated it at all) is VERY interesting. Maybe he doesn't want to give away what he's doing if it's something important...
comment in response to post
Oh fuck wait saw this right after typing, might be relevant
comment in response to post
Oh fuck @trendingworld.bsky.social @5thgeniw.bsky.social just as I write this I check something and it turns out his Twitter is back
comment in response to post
@trendingworld.bsky.social do you have any saved posts from Viktor? I have some, maybe we can help each other out.

The Syria stream 8 hr ago? Missed that one and James said he doesnt know. I've heard he left voluntarily. I'm not sure why his BSKY is down if that's the case and it obviously could have to do with the whole "livetweeting a soft coup" thing. I just hope we don't lose his posts permanently.
comment in response to post
Yeah, the little chatter I've heard suggests he left voluntarily. I'm not sure why his BSKY is down if that's the case and it obviously could have to do with the whole "livetweeting a soft coup/military secrets" thing. I just hope we don't lose his posts permanently.
