If we are going to go electrified, and renewable in a big way we need a lot more hydro. Even the hydro rich provinces need to more than double capacity just to manage electrification, snd further to manage growth and expansion.
The feds’ll need to drastically shorten the red tape for new dams.

If the US believes tariffs are necessary to force consumers to buy American, to encourage expansion of US industries, would tariffs ever come down? Would the US producers ever be competitive without the tariffs?

The same potus who said the markets dont matter is now selling cars because the head of his agency saw his private company’s share price crash.
If the markets dont matter… and this is a blip… why is he selling cars foe his agency head?

They will “modernize” the systems, and bail out before they fail, need updates, and can’t do what they shouldve done from the start.
Any ignorant twit can walk in to an org and loudly claim theyre improving by causing disruption. Some have bought a potus.

Hmmm.
That’s a leap.
I’d suggest that 8 billion people, 4 billion more than 50 years ago, are here and living well by virtue of the benefits of those products.
But, unmanaged and unmitigated resource extraction industries, at scale to satisfy 8 billion people, is hard on the planet.

Not sure you’ll need to.
The most dissatisfied people are always their supporters and allies - layer by layer they shed the pretense of supporting a broader group and narrow down to just a small group of insiders, and pardonable militants.
