Defense and deterrence includes being robust agains Russian hybrid attacks, which capitalize on disadvantaged population sectors. It is a no-brainer that, in the interest of the EU security, defense must be funded with a progressive tax system.

I am not an expert, but I do not know of any procedure to kickstart an expulsion of a member state

The EU does not benefit from having member countries with illiberal mentality like Hungary, whereas Hungary benefits disproportionately from wreaking havoc within Europe.
Hungary should be expelled from the EU. There must be a way to make this happen.

3/4. If we accept the idea that moving a person from one place to another undoes rights and disempowers the judiciary, we are endorsing the basic Nazism practice that enabled the killing of millions.

8/ This is a watershed moment, as Trump thumbs his nose at a Supreme Court ruling, gaslighting the public by pretending his won 9-0 when he lost 9-0.
If we normalize this, there's no end. He can lock up or remove anyone. We will no longer exist in a democracy.

Agreed. No more wishful thinking. Putin, Trump, Netanyahu and Orban all have one goal in common: to the destroy the liberal order which is nowadays best represented by the EU.
We Europeans need to be prepared to prioritise defense and deterrence over eveything else for the next 10 years.

Dear President of the EC,
are there any concrete steps to counter the efforts of the clique of European Trump whisperers, who actively try to undermine EU policies and dynamism?
We Europeans need reassurance that Trojan horses who want to dismantle the EU are being closely watched.
